First first earlies pic.
For the most part, the plot is coming along nicely. There’s a lot of lovely green growth going on. So, here are some black and whites to help put you in the picture.
Third strawberry of the season… and a whopper!
Some carrots that have made it this far.
Beetroot huddled together.
Shapely onion.
Rhubarb wrap.
Second first earlies pic.
Very cool in black and white! Your garden is so much further than ours.. if it ever shines long enough here, I may grow.. something!!
It’s not that sunny here either.
Give it time, Smidge! Just don’t let the weeds get the upper hand!
I’m heading out today…
I love black n white photos and Val I am turning green… with envy 🙂 No, no, I’m not but I’m in awe of your green thumb. I should get a plot of land somewhere or at least attempt to grow some herbs in my balcony for starters.
Go for it, Averil, it’s very rewarding and you get green fingers to boot!
Looks smart and very earthy in B+W – you notice the grains and textures much more – like old Vogue fashion shots!
I do like the idea of a fashion shoot at the plot… for WELLIES… it’s a bit mucky at the moment!
Wonderful shots – it´s all looking great!
Thanks, Chica.
C’mon Spainitaly!
Ooo so they are! Did they taste funny, being B&W? LOL!! Just kiddin’, you know I love your photography x
They tasted kind of halftoney and grayscaley! 🙂
very nice, B&W set…. very nice close-ups…
Thanks, I really enjoyed experimenting with B&W! These were taken with the raw setting on my Canon 30D and converted in Photoshop.
Looks great in b/w!
Thanks, Yvonne. More B&Ws in the future I think!
Great shots especially strawberry. Really show up textures.
Thanks, I was pleasantly surprised by how the B&Ws turned out.
Well, what can I add to this… the range of results you’re getting puts my plot to shame! I’m sure when I come back from my camping hols the whole plot will have somehow been transformed into a slug free and plentiful haven. Then again… Good work.
Thanks Matt. Maybe you should set up camp at the plot to keep an eye on those pesky slugs! They are doing my head in!
Great shots. Interesting how an absence of color can add so much texture.
Thanks Millie! Who would have thought that potatoes could look so cool! 🙂
I know, Val! Looking forward to new work. 😀
Nicely done, the B&Ws. Bit of a photographer too huh. 😉
Not to mention the fruits of your labour have come out nicely.
Thanks. Two very rewarding hobbies!
