I can see more clearly now.

The sun coming up over the allotment.

The sun was shining this morning, so I headed down to the allotment for another thirty minute stint. Spent some of that time trying to sneak up on the grouse to get a photo, but they were having none of it, scurrying off under a gap in the fence.

I used the remaining time to prepare another raised bed and then headed off home, happy with my small accomplishment. Then the rain started spitting – good timing!

A clear view of the Little Sugar Loaf.

A glimpse of the sea.

Strawberries ‘n’ Rain.

All bedded in.

This afternoon I planted a second batch of strawberry plants in the lashing rain. These plants all grew from runners so fingers crossed they will do well. I think I have planted them just in time, as it is still fairly mild and the heavy frosts have not yet set in. I need to invest in some decent rain gear though, because today I got soaked through to the skin. I hope the strawberries are worth it?

Blowin’ in the wind.

Another job done.
