  1. I never have good luck with root vegetables. I think it’s the soil around here. I also never have luck with eggplant. Tomatoes and zucchini are my best crops. We’re buried in snow here. It’s like Siberia!

    • No eggplant or tomatoes for me until I get a glasshouse. Had a good crop of zucchini last year and mixed results with my potatoes. Had a dose carrot fly for the first time which was not nice. Maybe this year will be the perfect year!

      • Last summer I had some kind of blight that hit my tomatoes, basil and other plants. Turned the leaves black and killed the fruit. Also, we have lots of bunny rabbits that eat anything. They chewed my Rose of Sharon down to nubs. Imagine!
